OMG! color!

Sat Feb 12, 2005, 11:53 PM
my first foray into the world of color. haha. well, not exactly, but i used photoshop to color an image for the first time. fun times.

other than procrastinating and slacking, what have i been up to? hip hop dance lessons, finishing my translations of Ishiwatari's interview, and the usual: reading (books and manga), playing piano occasionally, watching anime & jdrama. i should play games more. i have this huge list of RPGs i need to finish. haha.

i found out recently that UT's Japanese page has this option that lets you sign up to get daily grammar and kanji emails from Yookoso. that way i HAVE to study everyday, since i check my email like an obsessive maniac! yay!

yay! i updated!

yay! i updated! erm...that is all. i'm actually rather proud of my latest submission; i think it turned out fairy decent for the amount of time i spent on it. the drawing i did was of zhang zi yi, for my friend mark.

it's funny, but i never do artwork for myself. i don't know why, but i can't work up motivation unless i'm working on a piece specifically for someone. ^_^; lol. meh. ::shrugs:: as long as i'm still drawing it's not really a problem~! ^_^

it's been forever since i updated! how embarrassing. anyways, i finally have some new stuff to submit. one is original, the other is fanart of the naruto character tayuya.

i'm going to be studying abroad in japan for a year starting in late march, and i'm really looking forward to that. i even have a whole three months to relax before i head over there, since the japanese academic calendar is different from the american one. i'll be volunteering to help my high school japanese teacher as a "TA", catching up on anime and rpgs, and of course studying my butt off for that placement exam that i have to take when i arrive. ^^;;; i'm going to post pictures and small journal entries (with luck, i'll be able to write them in japanese) about my experiences in japan on this website: [link]

on the down side though, i doubt i'll have easy access to a scanner and software to edit images with, so don't expect updates. i'll probably keep drawing and post a bunch of stuff all at once when i come back.

my life has been alright. school is going well, as always. i've won several scholarships for study abroad, and i'm steadily improving in japanese. but on the other hand, my relationship with my boyfriend is probably going to end when we go to japan. he's too much of a skirt-chaser to stick with me, especially in japan, because he's heard about the "opportunities" he'll have with women there. -_-;

i'm aliiiive!

hey everyone...i actually updated!!! yay! well, i mean, i did a few days ago and have been too lazy to write a journal entry. i fixed the weird haze in the ivy pic and darkened it up a bit. that's all for now.
OH! and go look at my translations website if you have any interest in guilty gear art. [link]

wow...no updates in awhile

wow...i really haven't updated in awhile. i've really been a lazy bastard this summer and haven't done much in the way of artwork. what i HAVE done is too shabby to post. i suppose i'll just have to apply myself more. i'll get something up soon so i can stop feeling this sense of SHAME!!!!
